Firm Files Reply Brief in Qui Tam Action Before the Ninth Circuit

Today Daniel Woofter filed the reply brief on behalf of the appellant-relator in United States ex rel. Evans v. Southern California Intergovernmental Training and Development Center, No. 22-16715 (9th Cir.). The Firm was retained to write the reply and argue the appeal, which implicates important questions regarding falsity, scienter, and materiality under the False Claims Act and a circuit split on the retroactive application of the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act of 2009 amendments to the FCA, see Pub. L. No. 111-21, 123 Stat. 1617 (2009).
